Private Cooking Lessons
Private Cooking Lessons
Have you ever wished you could be a better cook? Now you can! Students can learn to cook the foods they love in the comfort of their own home. Personal lessons and small private parties (groups up to 4) are available. Classes are approximately 2 hours and are centered around learning technique, knife skills, and preparation of the meal. Many other cooking parties simply assemble pre-portioned ingredients, but this does not make you a better cook. Here at Home & Hearth we want you to learn the foundations of cooking so you may take these skills and this knowledge into your kitchen long after we are gone.
Our menus are thoughtfully compiled so students are exposed to various cooking methods, knife skills and flavor profiles.
Is My Kitchen Big Enough? Yes! Even the most modest kitchens have played host to various parties. If each student has enough space to place a cutting board down comfortably we can make it happen.
Scheduling. Afternoon, happy hour, evening and weekend classes are available. As a courtesy, Home & Hearth requires a 24 hour notice cancellation to reschedule any previously scheduled parties.
Location. Classes can be hosted in your home in the New Jersey Area. We are often able to travel to the city and surrounding boroughs if requested. Traveling costs are $60/hr round trip from Princeton.
What to Expect. Once package is ordered, a Home & Hearth representative will reach out to you directly. We can discuss your goals and plan a custom menu for your event. Vegetarian & gluten free options are available.
